Selfridge Military Air Museum
Established in 1975, the Selfridge Military Air Museum collects, preserves, and displays military artifacts and memorabilia of relevance to all past and present military units at Selfridge ANG Base, in the Michigan Air National Guard, and in the Wayne/Oakland/Macomb County area. Indoor exhibits and features span the 20th Century from 1907 (when our namesake, Lt Thomas Selfridge, became the first American casualty of powered flight) and World War I (when Selfridge Field began as a military installation) thru to the present day. These exhibits and features include aircraft engines (some cutaway for better viewing of internal components), an F-16 cockpit and Korean War “Jeep” that guests can get inside, aircraft paintings, drawings, and photographs; memorabilia of all branches of the military; scale model mission and support aircraft; military aviation artifacts and the history of significant individuals and events associated with Selfridge ANG Base; and many other items. Outdoor exhibits include vehicles, missiles, and 27 full-size aircraft from World War II to the present day. Depending on the availability of docents and the weather, guests are allowed inside two of the aircraft (C-130A and P-3B).

Jet Age Museum is the only organisation devoted to collecting, preserving and displaying aircraft, other artefacts and archive material to record, honour and commemorate the thousands of men and women who made Gloucestershires aerospace heritage. Twenty-two aircraft are now represented in the Jet Age collection, all with local connections. Sixteen of them are on display in the museum. Nine form the core collection of Gloster-built aircraft from 1925 to 1964 and a further ten are classic early jets. Jet Age maintains close links with the RAF Museum, the Imperial War Museum, the Fleet Air Arm Museum and Rolls-Royce Heritage Trust, as well as other aviation museums in the UK and abroad. It is a full member of the British Aviation Preservation Council (BAPC).

The State Museums most recent addition is located in Patterson, Louisiana. Established by the Legislature as the states official aviation museum, Wedell-Williams is committed to preserving and presenting artifacts and documents reflecting aviation history in Louisiana. It is named for two famous Louisiana aviators - Jimmie Wedell and Harry Williams - who formed an air service in Patterson in the 1928. Both men were became nationally prominent during what was known as the Golden Age of Aviation. Although both Wedell and Williams perished in plane crashes, their legacy lives on in the memorabilia and planes on display in the frst phase of a new exhibition plan. The Museums collection centers around memorabilia from the lives of aviators Jimmy Wedell and Harry Williams, including an airworthy replica of Wedells
